Air Canada Refund Policy

Other than that if you cancel after 24 hours, refundability will depend on the fare type you purchased for your ticket.

A 24 hour refund policy is not applicable for the group fare or fare bought for the same day trip.

Fare rules apply only on the fares of canceled within the 24 hours.

Refundable tickets value will be credited to the original form of payment or either you can choose to retain the value of future travel.

You can request a refund via your original point of purchase.

If you had booked or purchased the ticket through the travel agent or other travel agency please contact them for a refund.

If you had a fully untouched ticket, you must begin travel within 12 months of the original given date.

If you request a refund under the provision of the ‘Air passenger protection regulation’ they will give you the refund within 30 or after the day within your request.

If you have GDS ticket, you can get a refund from the Air Canada airline:-

1. You have purchased refundable or partially refundable tickets.
2. You can show your E-ticket or the coupon available for the refund has ‘open’ status.
3. You can show the fare and the historical in your GDS.
4. If you have the ownership of PNR.

Air Canada airline gives you a 24 hour refund policy that can be applied on.

• If it is published and net fares.
• If the purchased tickets have codeshare flights.
• If the purchased ticket has interline tickets.

Air Canada gives a Bereavement travel policy to those who need to travel in hurry because of the imminent death or the death of a family member. But you have to show a copy of the death certificate, funeral director’s statement or the coroner’s statement.

If you failed to send the document you have to pay the regular fare price of the ticket you purchased.
